Muninn – Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 13 October 2026
Who we are
Muninn, formerly called INTR (I Need To Remember), is a habit app operated by Norse Ventures LLC (“we”, “our”, “us”), based in Charleston, South Carolina, USA. This policy explains how information is handled when you use Muninn and its widgets.
Your habits stay on your device
Muninn does not require an account. Your habits, schedules, reminder times, and the days you completed each habit are stored on your iPhone and shared only with Muninn’s widgets on that same device.
Reminder notifications are scheduled locally by iOS. Muninn does not upload your habits to a Norse Ventures account or backend, and contains no advertising and no tracking. The only usage information we collect ourselves is the anonymous statistics described below. Deleting Muninn removes its data from your device.
Anonymous usage statistics
Muninn sends a few anonymous events to PostHog, our analytics provider, so we can see whether people use the app and how many reach Muninn Pro. The events are: the app was opened, a habit was added, a habit was checked off in the app, the Muninn Pro offer was shown, a purchase or restore was attempted and how it ended, Share was tapped on a streak card, and the app asked the App Store to show its rating dialog. An added habit’s event says only whether it is checked by hand, by Photos or by Health, and whether it is a habit to keep up or to quit. A checked habit’s event says only whether you tapped it or it checked itself off. Each event carries the app and iOS version, whether the app came from the App Store or TestFlight, and a random identifier created on your device.
The events never include your habits’ names, schedules, the days you completed them, anything read from Apple Health or Photos, your name, email, Apple Account, advertising identifier, or any text you enter. Muninn’s widgets send nothing. PostHog discards IP addresses for Muninn and does not build a profile of you. The data is not used for advertising or shared with data brokers, and is kept for up to one year. Deleting Muninn removes the random identifier.
Apple Health
If you allow it, Muninn reads the following from Apple Health: steps, exercise minutes, workouts (their type and duration), mindful minutes, water, time in daylight, and weight entries. Muninn reads only the types you approve, and only to check whether a habit happened on a given day and mark it done for you.
Access is read only: Muninn never writes to or changes your Health data. Health data never leaves your iPhone, is not sent to us or to any third party, and is never used for advertising, marketing, or data mining. You can change or revoke access at any time in the Health app under Profile › Privacy › Apps › Muninn.
Photos
If you allow it, Muninn checks your photo library for photos or videos taken on a given day, to check off photo and video habits. It looks only at when items were created. It does not view, analyze, copy, upload, or change your photos or videos.
Access is read only. If you give Muninn limited access, only the photos you choose count. You can change access at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Photos.
Muninn Pro purchases
Muninn Pro is available as a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. Apple processes the payment, and RevenueCat helps Muninn load prices, complete purchases, check whether Pro is active, and restore it later. To do this, RevenueCat receives your purchase history and an anonymous app identifier that is not linked to your name or email. We never receive your payment-card number, and no Health or Photos data is ever sent to RevenueCat.
You can manage or cancel a subscription in your App Store account settings.
Installs from our App Store ads (iOS)
We advertise Muninn in App Store search results. When Muninn for iOS first opens, it passes a short-lived token from Apple to RevenueCat. If you installed Muninn after tapping one of our ads, RevenueCat uses the token to ask Apple which campaign, ad group, and keyword that ad belonged to, and keeps the answer with your anonymous app identifier, so we can see which ads lead to a purchase.
This uses Apple’s own ad attribution service. Muninn does not ask for permission to track you, does not read your advertising identifier, and shows no ads. The information is not sold or shared with data brokers.
Email support
If you contact us, we receive your email address and whatever information you choose to include so we can respond.
Sharing and sale of information
We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared only with the service providers needed for purchases and anonymous usage statistics, when you direct us to share it, or when required by law.
Retention and your choices
Muninn’s app data remains on your device until you change it or uninstall the app. Purchase records are retained by Apple and by RevenueCat under their own policies. Support emails are kept only as long as reasonably needed to answer your request and meet legal obligations.
You can turn off reminders in Muninn or in your device’s notification settings, and turn off Health or Photos access as described above. You may also contact us to request access to or deletion of personal information we hold about you.
Delete your Muninn data
Your habits and history live only on your device. Uninstalling Muninn deletes them.
To delete the purchase data RevenueCat holds for Muninn (your purchase history and anonymous app identifier), email support@norseventures.co with the subject “Delete my Muninn data” and, if you can, the App Store receipt email for your Muninn Pro purchase. We delete the RevenueCat record within 30 days and confirm by email. Apple keeps its own purchase records under its policies, and Muninn Pro can still be restored from them later.
The anonymous usage statistics are not tied to a person, so we cannot find yours to delete; uninstalling Muninn removes the random identifier they carry.
Children
Muninn is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
We may update this policy as Muninn changes. The effective date above shows when this version took effect.
