About the first iPhone
The first iPhone went on sale in the United States on June 29, 2007, about five months after Steve Jobs introduced it at Macworld on January 9, 2007.
It had a 3.5-inch touch screen and cost $499 or $599. Apps from other developers came a year later, when the App Store opened in July 2008.
