Bergmal Support
Bergmal is a video delay camera: it shows the camera picture a few seconds late, so you finish the rep, look up, and watch it. Need a hand? Email us and include what you were trying to do, what happened, and your phone or tablet model and OS version.

Prop your phone or tablet up, point the camera at where you will move, and allow the camera when Bergmal asks. A countdown shows when your picture appears; after that the picture keeps playing a few seconds late, and there is nothing to press between reps.
The controls fade away after a few seconds. Tap anywhere to bring them back. The delay stays on the picture in large figures.
The delay
The free app shows the picture 5 seconds late. With Bergmal Pro, the − and + buttons set any delay from 1 to 60 seconds: about 3 for a golf swing, about 10 to rack a bar and turn around.
After you change the delay, a countdown runs until the picture reaches back that far. Leaving Bergmal empties the delay, so it starts again from nothing when you come back.
If there is no picture
Bergmal needs the camera. Tap Allow camera. If you turned the camera down earlier, tap Open Settings and allow the camera for Bergmal there.
Another app is using the camera. A call or another camera app has it; the picture comes back when the camera is free. The camera also can’t be used while Bergmal shares the screen with another app, as in Split View on iPad.
The camera stopped. Tap Try again. If it keeps happening, email us.
When the picture gets less sharp
Bergmal keeps the delay in a fixed amount of memory, so a long delay is shown at a lower resolution than a short one. The picture is also less sharp while the device is hot or low on memory, and Bergmal says so. Let the device cool, or close other apps, and it recovers.
Two delays side by side
With Bergmal Pro, Split view shows the same camera twice, each with its own delay and speed: see the rep after 3 seconds and again after 10. Tap a picture to choose which one the − and + buttons change.
Slow motion
With Bergmal Pro, Slow motion replays at half or quarter speed. A picture that keeps arriving can’t all be shown slower, so Bergmal works in turns: while it says Go, it is watching, so move; while it says Wait, it is replaying what it watched, and what happens then is not shown. At a 5-second delay and half speed, you move for 5 seconds and watch them over the next 10.
On a TV
With Bergmal Pro, connect a TV or another display, over AirPlay or a cable on iPhone and iPad, or as a second display on Android. The delayed picture fills the TV with no buttons on it, and your phone or tablet keeps the controls. Without Bergmal Pro, the TV mirrors your device’s screen as it does for any app.
Saving a clip
With Bergmal Pro, Save the last rep keeps the seconds you just watched as a clip in Photos (your gallery on Android). The clip is as long as the delay, at least 5 and at most 30 seconds. It has no sound, because Bergmal does not use the microphone, and it is not mirrored.
On iPhone and iPad, allow Bergmal to add to Photos when it asks. If you turned that down, allow it for Bergmal in your device’s Settings.
Restoring Bergmal Pro on a new phone
Bergmal Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. On a new phone or after reinstalling, open Settings in Bergmal, tap Unlock Bergmal Pro, then Restore purchase, signed in to the same Apple or Google account you bought it with.
For refunds, use Apple’s or Google’s refund request; for other billing issues, email us with the approximate purchase date, but never send payment-card details.
Privacy
Bergmal does not require an account. The picture stays on your device, and nothing is recorded unless you save a clip. Read the Bergmal Privacy Policy for details.
