Gullegg Support
Gullegg is an egg timer: pick how you like your egg, its size, and whether it comes from the fridge, and Gullegg works out the boiling time, counts down, and rings when the egg is done. Need a hand? Email us and include what you were trying to do, what happened, and your phone model and OS version.
Email Gullegg supportHow the time is worked out
The time comes from a published physics formula for how heat travels into an egg. It uses the egg’s weight (S, M, L and XL are 48, 58, 68 and 78 grams), whether it starts from the fridge or room temperature, and the boiling point of water. Start the timer when the egg goes into water that is already boiling.
The time is an estimate. Stoves, pots and eggs differ, so if your egg comes out firmer or softer than you like, choose the next doneness or size down or up next time.
The alarm
The alarm rings with Gullegg closed and the phone locked. On iOS 26.1 and later it is a system alarm: it rings through silent mode and Focus until you stop it. The first time you start a timer, allow alarms when Gullegg asks.
On older versions of iOS, or if alarms are not allowed, Gullegg rings with a notification instead, which silent mode mutes. Turn the ringer on, or keep the phone in sight; the countdown stays on the Lock Screen.
On Android the alarm plays on the alarm volume until you stop it. If nothing rings, check that alarms and notifications for Gullegg are allowed in your device’s settings, and that the alarm volume is up.
Several eggs in one pot
With Gullegg Pro, tap Add egg to boil up to four eggs together, each with its own doneness, size and start. Gullegg lists the order they go in. Start when the first egg goes into the boiling water; Gullegg rings briefly each time the next egg should go in, and rings the full alarm when they are all done at the same moment.
Altitude
Water boils cooler the higher you are, so eggs take longer. With Gullegg Pro, open Settings and set Altitude once, up to 4,000 m in steps of 100 m; every time is adjusted from then on.
Restoring Gullegg Pro on a new phone
Gullegg Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. On a new phone or after reinstalling, open Settings in Gullegg and tap Restore purchases, signed in to the same Apple or Google account you bought it with.
For refunds, use Apple’s or Google’s refund request; for other billing issues, email us with the approximate purchase date, but never send payment-card details.
Privacy
Gullegg does not require an account, and your settings and timer stay on your device. Read the Gullegg Privacy Policy for details.
